Our Mission

'Brother, when you become a priest, kindly serve the helpless orphans and the elderly with love and care.'

When Mother Teresa spoke these words to Fr. Vijay in 1993, he was inspired to dedicate his life to give a better future for the orphans and to giveFather Vijay and Mother Teresa love and care to the elderly.

Motivated by Mother Teresa and the teachings of Jesus to love your neighbor as yourself, Fr. Vijay is establishing a facility to house orphans and the elderly in Vempalle, India regardless of religious preference.  Fr. Vijay foresees a compound where children and elderly can coexist - a place where children and aged will have their spiritual, medical, and physical needs met.

Fr. Vijay selected the site for the compound because it has viable soil to grow rice and other vegetables to help sustain the needs of the residents.

Fr. Vijay established the Mother Teresa Charitable Trust in 2007 with the hope of raising funds to make this vision a reality for the children and elderly.  The hope is to finish the compound by October 2010.

"I was hungry and you fed me...,
Naked and you clothed me...,
Sick and you cared for me...,
Homeless and you took me in...,
Whenever you did this for one of the least
brothers of mine, you did it for me" -Lord Jesus
